'Monocando' is a word I invented as a child to refer to a human-size male monkey doll that sang while playing a music keyboard. He was the star of this fabulous place my parents used to take my siblings and me. Blissful memories remain from watching in awe that singing monocando that hypnotised me. Today, 'Monocando' represents all the happy memories from those early years that have in large part shaped my adult life.
